HUNGER
We expanded our food pantry in July, through church contributions and a FEMA grant secured by Real Life and New Beginnings. During the second half of 2009, we delivered groceries to 160 households, feeding almost 600 people for several days or more. We hosted a Thanksgiving meal for over 100 people, and delivered 350 meals to needy families in South Lake County.
HOMELESSNESS
The New Beginnings men’s home helps men recover from homelessness. In 2009, we helped open a New Beginnings facility for women and children at the renovated Mulberry Inn in downtown Clermont.
2econd LIFE RESALE
Real Life and New Beginnings opened 2econd Life Resale last August, accepting donations from the church and the community. Store proceeds support hurting people and those battling homelessness.
WELLSPRING
Wellspring Counseling Center blesses dozens of lives each week. Their candid, Biblical counseling led to numerous baptisms, restored relationships, and over 60 saved marriages in 2009.
